Carving Your Path: Heart-Centered Lessons from 2025
If 2025 felt a bit like trying to navigate a blizzard without goggles, you aren’t alone. Between the daily "noise" and the general chaos of the world, many of us are ending the year feeling like we’ve earned a very large glass of eggnog (or perhaps something stronger).
For me, the year was defined by transitions—some chosen, like launching my coaching website, and some forced, like surviving a 43-day government shutdown. I’ve learned that life has a way of building "character" whether we asked for the lesson or not. Yet, looking back—from the timeless streets of Italy to the sun-drenched beaches of Mexico—I see that while the year was tough, it was also transformative.
One of the most profound lessons I’ve carried off the slopes of Colorado ski mountains is that our "game" often evolves from a "controlled fall" into something that looks like we know what we’re doing. But that evolution only happens when we are willing to be vulnerable.
The biggest lessons I’m carrying off the slopes and into 2026:
✨ Vulnerability is a Superpower: I learned that needing help doesn’t make you weak; it makes you human. Reaching out to friends and family through the tough moments built bonds that a casual drink or dinner simply couldn’t touch.
✨ The Power of the Pause: I learned to give myself grace. By taking a breath and turning inward, I found I could intentionally approach high-pressure situations with ease rather than just reacting to the "noise."
✨ Build Resilience from the Inside Out: This fall, I launched a teaser for my Heart-Centered Living series. It’s been a joy to teach others how to find clarity and set boundaries using heart-brain coherence. It’s a reminder that we don't have to let life just "happen" to us—we can create our best selves.
Whether I was tackling a 10 lb ribeye roast or navigating a new career path, 2025 reminded me that challenges are just the molding process for who we are becoming. As we close out this year, I hope you take a moment to reflect on your own journey. Celebrate the golden moments, but find gratitude for the challenges, too. They are the "character builders" that make us adaptable, resilient, and ready for whatever 2026 has in store.
I like big roasts and I cannot lie. 🎶 10 pounds of holiday pressure handled with heart (and a very reliable meat thermometer)!
Wishing you a holiday season filled with reflection, connection, and peace.
